Around the Farm
--a little more about Mary Mack--

Mary Mack Farms is a very family-oriented operation.  In addition to the owners, sisters Linda and Cynthia, the farm support team includes Keith (Cynthia's husband); Nicole, Andrew and Matthew (Cynthia's children); and
Mary Katherine, Cynthia and Linda's mother.

Mary Mack Farms is currently home to 19 horses in Russellville, Kentucky and 2 horses in Sonoita, Arizona.  We're expecting five babies in 2007.

LeRoy was named such because he was such a "bad" little colt.  Today, he is a gentle, sensible, intelligent, easy-going gelding that had turned out to be an excellent, smooth-riding trail horse.   LeRoy is currently being ridden by Cynthia's daughter, Nicole.  LeRoy is a smoky black by Brooke's Wind Dancer (ivory champagne) out of our mare, Ashley.

Keith loves to ride motorcycles.  Cynthia loves to ride horses.  Therefore, in honor of Keith's passion, she named her riding horse "He's My Kinda Harley MMF."  Harley is a three-year-old a classic champagne.  Like his (full) brother, LeRoy, he has a smooth gait and a laid-back disposition.  Harley is currently being trail ridden and has proven to be a great horse under saddle.

Mary Mack Farms is a "nation-wide" enterprise.  MMF co-owner, Linda, lives in Sonoita, AZ.  This is a picture of her Peruvian Paso, Hawk.

Mary Mack's Dakota Gold is the second colt by our stud, out of our mare Rumour.  He is a beautiful dark gold color, and he has a fantastic gait.  Dakota has just finished 1.5 months of professional training.  Dakota currently resides in Sonoita, AZ with MMF co-owner, Linda.

Murray State University is Keith's alma mater.  Therefore, he chose to name this horse Murray's Golden Racer.  Murray is a yearling gold champagne gelding.  He is by our stud and our mare, Trouble.  Murray has a great, friendly disposition and a wonderful gait.  He is also the darkest gold champagne that Mary Mack Farms has produced.  Murray is currently for sale ($2000 OBO).  However, if not sold by next spring, we will be starting him under saddle.

In the photo at left, Murray (yearling) is standing next to Harley (three year old).

This is Abby.  She is a very well-trained, kid-broke grade mare that we keep on the farm.  She serves as a nanny for our colts during weaning.  Abby is also used to train our inexperienced horses when we go riding at the Land Between the Lakes.  She is currently 20+ years old (actual age unknown).  As we have so many other horses under saddle, we are not currently riding Abby.  Abby is looking for a good home where she can be used by a young child wanting to learn how to ride.  If interested, please let us know.  We are asking $600.

At the farm, we have more than just horses.  The picture at right is of Matthew and his prize-winning Salers show cow.
